Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a multi-campus, multi-disciplinary research university that is accredited 'A' by NAAC and is ranked as one of the best research universities in India. The university is spread across five campuses in three states of India - Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, with the University headquarters at Ettimadai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
The Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru campus, is inviting applications from bright and motivated students with an M.Tech. (CSE or ECE) and a strong interest in Computer architecture, FPGA/VLSI design, Parallel processing and Compilers. The project titled "Towards Next Generation Embedded Systems: Utilizing Parallelism & Reconfigurability" will be carried out under the guidance of Dr. Madhura Purnaprajna, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru.
FUNDING AGENCY: The project is funded under the Indo-Swedish Joint Project funded by the Department of Science and Technology, India and Vinnova, Sweden.
OBJECTIVES: This project envisions that the diversity of applications and contrasting performance constraints in next-generation embedded systems will necessitate the use of emerging technologies such as reconfigurable architectures and many-core processors. The project aims to develop, experiment and evaluate advanced embedded computing platforms for diverse application needs such as real-time response, low energy consumption and low cost constraints. Our focus is to address these needs through the use of simplified programming and flexible architectures.
ELIGIBILITY: This is a DST funded project, hence all pre-requisite eligibility criteria as per DST guidelines have to be met. This implies all applicants should have a minimum of Masters' level degree (M.Tech/ M.S., similar)
DURATION: Three years
Candidates fulfilling the above conditions are invited to apply for the post.
