Two Amrita students team from the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, will participate in 36-hour Singapore-India Hackathon 2018 at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, from November 12- 14, 2018. The student members were Eric Joseph, Anupam Rajanish, Sakthisree Venkatesan and Yeshwanth Sripathi (Team Vision) of 2016-2020 batch of B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and Sanjay Tharaghesh and Abel Lesle (Team Exalt) of 2017-2021 batch of B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and B. Tech. in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.

Team Vision and Team Exalt, which were amongst the top 20 teams representing India, are mentored by Prof. Prashant R. Nair, Vice Chairperson, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore and Dr. M. Senthil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, respectively.

Singapore-India Hackathon was inaugurated by Dr. Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE and Dr. Lim Jiu, CEO, NTUitive, commercialization arm of NTU. Singapore-India Hackathon is an initiative proposed by Shri Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister and Shri Ong Ye Kung, Singapore Higher Education Minister to foster collaboration between the best hacks in both countries.
