Amrita Bags Top Innovation Award: Facebook’s Innovation Challenge won by AMMACHI Labs' MySanghamSkills Portal

MySangham, an online vocational education portal developed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's research center AMMACHI Labs, was amongst the winners of Facebook’s Innovation Challenge in India. The challenge selects top innovators and change-makers whodesign impactful apps or web-services relevant to women, students, farmers and migrant workers in India. 

AmritaCREATE Labs presents their research on ESL at IEEE’s Frontiers in Education Conference 2015, USA

Frontiers in Education, sponsored by IEEE Education Society, is one of the oldest and most prestigious Education conferences focusing on educational innovations. For the third year in a row, a research paper from AmritaCREATE was presented here. Rema Menon presented the paper "New Methodology to Differentiate Instructional Strategies for ESL Learners in the Indian Context". The paper was authored by Rema Menon and Prema Nedungadi, AmritaCREATE.

PhD student John Joseph, Dr. Shantikumar Nair and Dr. Deepthy Menon of Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine authored on a very prestigious high impact journal paper-Nanoletters (Impact Factor 13), the highest impact factor Journal in Nanotechnology after 'Nature Nanotechnology'.

Amrita School of Engineering Students Win CEBACA Talent Hunt 2015

Final year B.Tech. Civil Engineering students at the Amrita School of Engineering in Coimbatore campus- Mansi Trivedi, Satish A. J., Thanu Suthan P. M., Varsha Pinnamaraju and Vignesh V. won the first prize in​​ ​the Coimbatore Builders and Contractors Association (CEBACA) Talent Hunt 2015 held on October 11, 2015.

Amrita ICTS Expands Core Switching Infrastructure of Amritapuri Campus

The Network Administration team of IT Services, Amritapuri campus, has successfully upgraded the existing switching infrastructure provided to the campus, to a more modern and reliable method which has many advantages and benefits associated with it. Earlier, the Core Switching Infrastructure existed in 1 Gigabit Ethernet with a stack of multiple switches of 128 Gbps switch fabric bandwidth. The main distribution switches were connected in a traditional method without redundancy.

Amrita Water Distribution System- Water Management in Rural India

For many villagers in India, collecting and carrying water is part of their daily routine. However, villagers often have to walk several kilometers to collect water necessary for themselves and their families, sometimes walking several times a day. Many villagers, especially women, collect and carry between 200 and 500 liters of water per day for their families and cattle.

Amrita Micro Hydro Electric System- Illuminating Rural India via Renewable Resources

Many villages in India do not have access to electricity. Villages that do receive power, do so intermittently and with frequent disruption, making the supply of electricity unreliable. Komalikudi, a tribal settlement in Kerala well-known for its abundant natural resources, is one such village. 

ASB Coimbatore organizes Round Table Conference on Role of HR in Organizational Transformation
