Dept. of Dravyaguna Organizes 'Bhoomikkoru Oushadhakkuda' Program

‘Bhoomikkoru oushadhakkuda’, a public event to promote the conservation and cultivation of medicinal plants, was organized by the Department of Dravyaguna, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, in co-ordination with the Kulasekharapuram Agricultural office on December 27, 2018. 

Reconstructive Surgeons Honoured by National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization

On November 27th, 2018, a team of reconstructive surgeons from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi, was honored by the National Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (NOTTO) at the 9th Indian Organ Donation Day held at New Delhi, for their path-breaking achievement of conducting a ‘Hand Transplant’.

PhD scholars at Amrita Center for Wireless Networks and Applications (AmritaWNA)  Mr.  Ram Kumar and  Ms. Uma Gopalakrishnan published a research work titled "Multiparty Gaze Preservation through Perspective Switching for Interactive eLearning Environments" in the Springer Journal ''Multimedia Tools and Applications'' with an Impact factor of 1.5. 

Amrita Darshanam Organizes National Workshop on Madhusūdana Sarasvatī’s“Siddhāntabindu”

Amrita Darshanam, International Centre for Spiritual Studies (ICSS), in association with Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), organized a seven-day national workshop on Madhusūdana Sarasvatī’s“Siddhāntabindu” from November 10-16, 2018, at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus.

20th Amrita Alumni Meet of Coimbatore Campus Held

The Annual alumni meet for the year 2018 of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus was held on December 23, 2018. The event was special it was the 20th year celebration of the first batch graduation. Around 100 alumni from the first batch had joined the event and the day was fun-filled.

Dhwani 2018 - Pharma Arts Fest

The annual arts festival of the Amrita School of Pharmacy, Dhwani 2018, was officially inaugurated by  Principal  Dr. Sabitha M. on 13th October 2018, and within ten days, 13 offstage events were conducted. On 25th October, the university art festival ‘Amrita Kalotsav’18’ was inaugurated by actor Unni Mukundan. 

Student Wins 1st Prize in Poster Presentation at 8th World Ayurveda Congress & Arogya Expo

Dr. Vandana K. Vasudevan third year PG Scholar from the Department of Prasutitantra and Streeroga, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, won first prize for poster presentation at the “8th World Ayurveda Congress and Arogya Expo” organized by the World Ayurveda Foundation and Ministry of Ayush, Govt of India, conducted at Gujarat University Convention and exhibition Centre, Ahmedabad from December 14-17, 2018.
