Kerala State Renewable Energy Research Award for Amrita

On November 11, 2019, the Kerala State Renewable Energy Award in the category of Research and Innovation was presented to the Kochi campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, by Kerala Chief Minister Mr. Pinnarayi Vijayan on behalf of ANERT, the Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technologies, at a function held in Trivandrum.

Amrita National Science Olympiad 2019 Held

The School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, organized the second edition of the science exhibition titled "Amrita National Science Olympiad" from October 30-31, 2019, on the campus. The theme for this year was "Sustainable Development for a Self - Sustaining Future".

Amrita Ayurveda Observes National Ayurveda Day/Dhanwantari 2019

Ayurveda Day was celebrated around the world on October 25, 2019, as a global initiative to promote and preserve Ayurveda. Ayurveda Day aimed to promote UN-WHO Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Ensure healthy lives and promote wellbeing for all at all ages.) by raising awareness about the strong role that Ayurveda can play in the realization of SDG 3. Ayurveda Day also coincided with the Dhanwantari Day. 

'Charakatatvamritham 2019' - Parayana & Sambhasha on Charaka Samhita Chikitsa Sthana Seminar

The Department of Samhita & Basic Principles of Ayurveda, School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, conducted a two-day seminar “Charakatatvamritam 2019”- Parayana and Sambhasha on Charaka Samhita Chikitsa Sthana, from October 28-29, 2019. 

Technology Enabling Center for the State of Kerala Launched at Amrita

It is the vision of the Government of India’s Department of Science & Technology to have one centre per state to serve as an Ecosystem for Technology Development. These “Technology Enabling Centres” will network researchers, institutes, national laboratories and industrialists to help researchers with market studies, characterizing, productizing, and scaling of innovations to fit the needs of the Government, MSMEs, NGOs and Corporates.
