Digital Marketing is ruling over the advertising arena these days and, people are increasingly using its various features in their daily activities. On August 6, 2018, Sumesh Ramankutty, Vice President, Media Strategy and Operation, SBI, interacted with students of the Department of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus, on the topic “Digital Marketing in Banking Sector”.

He discussed various methods of the digital marketing strategy used by banks and other financial sectors. A professional with 12 years of experience in media and entertainment industry, banking research and analytics, Ramankutty’s areas of specialization are data analytics, google analytics, media planning & buying, movie production and distribution, and market research. In an interactive session with the students, Ramankutty explained the importance of advertisement for the banking sector.
