Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine at Kochi invites applications for the following programs:
- Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Molecular Medicine
- Master of Technology(M.Tech.) in Nanomedical Sciences
- Master of Technology (M.Tech.)in Nanotechnology & Renewable Energy
M.Tech. in Nanomedical Sciences is focused on biomedical nanotechnologies whereas the M.Tech. in Nanotechnology & Renewable Energy focuses on energy conversion and storage technologies. M.Tech. in Molecular Medicine focuses on identification of molecular markers in diagnostics and therapy at the molecular level. The courses have been successful for the last five years with 100% placement and hands-on research experience in cutting - edge technologies and state - of - the - art facilities, which are one of the best in the country. The Center is a Thematic Unit of Excellence under the Nanomission program of the Govt. of India.
There will be common entrance exam in different centers; Kochi, Trivandrum, Kannur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Bengaluru and Hyderabad which is followed by interview for selecting students. GATE Scholars are exempted from the common entrance exam.
The Director of the ACNSMM is Dr. Shantikumar V. Nair who received the prestigious 2011 National Research Award in Nanoscience and Technology, Govt. of India. & Prof. C. N. R. Rao Bangalore INDIA NANO Science Award 2014 for outstanding contributions in Nanotechnology Research and Development in India. Dr. Nair had received the Presidential Young Investigator Award in 1986 from President Ronald Reagan for research in composite materials and was a faculty at University of Massachusetts, USA, for 20 years.
