The students of Amrita School of Business, Coimbatore have won the silver and bronze medals at the prestigious 20th Student Management Games (SMG 2016) – Southern Regional Rounds and South Finale held at Sri Krishna Institutions, Coimbatore on 6th-7th October, 2016.

Organized by All India Management Association (AIMA), the game had 58+ teams from India’s best business schools, including IIM and XLRI, vying for the top honors. This national competition had around 40 rounds to compete.

In this computer-based business simulation game, participants were given a hypothetical company to run a business. They were tested for their business acumen, requiring them to take strategic business decisions and see the impact through AIMA's indigenously developed softwareChanakya. Saikat Chakraborty, Jatin Atri, Soumyaraj Das, Krishna Nataraj, Brijesh Krishna, Vrishod Sathya, Apurv Brahmapurkar, and Arjun from Class of 2017 were the students who participated in the game.

“Congratulations winners. You have brought laurels to ASB and Amrita. Special thanks to Dr. Mridula Sahay, Associate Professor, for mentoring the students,” said ASB Chairman Dr. R. Raghu Raman
