Amrita School of Business (ASB), Coimbatore, was visited by a team of ten students from University of California, San Diego, under the leadership of Prof. Saiba Varma. The team worked with five students from ASB, Coimbatore and chose Sadivel village in Coimbatore for the field work.

During the team’s visit, the team assessed awareness level of the village on health, hygiene and treatment support available to them. The team also focused on understanding traditional tribal medicinal practices in playing the role in the health and hygiene of villagers. The team also built a toilet with the help of the local volunteers as part of the Amma’s Amala Bharatham Project.
