The Association of Nurse Executives India (ANEI) organized Sustainathon, a 5-kilometer run from Decathlon Vyttila to Kadavanthara on April 27, 2025, at 5:30 AM on the theme “Climate Change , Run for Change”. Sustainathon was officially inaugurated today by Mr. Ranjith Krishnan, CEO of Kinder Hospital, and Capt. Ajitha Nair, President of ANEI and CEO of KIMS Hospital, Kottayam. The event was flagged off by Mr. Sherin Salaari, Kerala Blasters player, marking the start of an exciting initiative to promote sustainability across industries. Students and faculties from Amrita College of Nursing were a part of this marathon.
The event brings together leaders from healthcare, sports, and various sectors to collaborate on sustainable practices, with a focus on creating lasting environmental impact.
Led by nurses, the event focused on the theme “Climate Change: Run for Change” and saw the participation of around 500 runners from across Ernakulam. Sustainathon highlighted the commitment of the nursing community towards promoting environmental sustainability and public awareness.
