The Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) at Kochi successfully carried out a new treatment protocol 'Microtransplant' to treat a 19-year-old girl suffering from acute blood cancer in life threatening stage even after two cycles of chemotherapy. This treatment involves normal chemotherapy followed by infusion of intentionally mismatched cells.
