The Directorate General of Medical Service or DGMS of Bangladesh Armed Forces has signed an MoU with India’s Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre for cooperation in patient care, medical education, research, training and exchange of healthcare professionals. The Amrita institute will provide the state of the art medical care to the members of Bangladesh Armed Forces, including retired personnel and their family members.

DGMS Director General Major General SM Motahar Hossain and Medical Director of Kerala-based Amrita Institute Dr Prem Nair flagged off the deal through vide-conferencing.
