Former ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair today noted that ever increasing population and lack of adequate, affordable healthcare facilities, particularly for the rural masses, were matters of serious concern for India. Addressing a gathering on the occasion of the graduation ceremony of the Amrita School of Medicine here, Mr Nair said healthcare for the rural populace had become a nightmare with no facilities, forcing rural people to travel long distance for medical care.
