Viswaretna award conferred on Mata Amritanandamayi

Conferring the ‘Viswaretna’ award of Hindu Parliament on Mata Amritanandamayi at a function held at the Kaimanam Ashram, Uthradom Thirunal Marthanda Varma, the head of Travancore royal family, termed her as one who interconnects all the people gathered there. Speaker G Karthikeyan said that Amma was a refuge to the world suffering from all ills.
