Integrated MA English Language and Literature Program. The Program seeks to give students a solid foundation in all of the recognised precepts of English literature that fall under the ambit of the curriculum. It adheres to the choice-based credit system of the university regulations, which are based on the requirements of the UGC Regulations.The Program offers a mix of Core and Elective courses throughout ten semesters with the opportunity to leave the Program at the conclusion of the sixth semester.The students earn a majority of their credits from the core courses, and they have freedom to choose from a variety of elective courses to fulfil their credit requirement for each semester.

The core courses include subjects like Indian Writing in English, New Literatures, Introduction to Literary Criticism, Shakespeare Studies, History of English Literature, Indian Aesthetics, etc. the elective courses deal with an array of specific areas like English for Media Communication, Creative Writing, Technical Writing, ELT, Translation Studies, Canadian Literature, Travel Writing, European Fiction, Comparative Literature, Indian Women Novelists, etc.
In their final semester, students are required to do a project of their choice, choosing a subject of interest and learning the fundamentals of performing academic research. Finally, they turn in a project report and publish a paper based on their investigation. The program’s goal is to increase students’ capacity for analysis, research thinking, and investigation, transforming them into engaged readers and writers who appreciate literature and society and are capable of speaking clearly in both academic and professional settings.

Educational Qualification: 12th or equivalent with an aggregate minimum of 50% marks and a minimum of 60% marks for English from CBSE /State Board/ICSE
Important Note: It is mandatory to meet the required eligibility criteria to complete the admission process. Admission process and seat confirmation will complete only after submission of educational documents and full fee payment including caution deposit.
Selection will be based only on Interview or Entrance test scores.
Registration for admission 2023 is fully online. Candidates are required to have their recent photograph, online payment credentials, etc. to be ready to complete the online application process.
