M. D. in Pulmonary Medicine is a Clinical Speciality course offered by the Amrita School of Medicine.
Pulmonary Medicine is a branch of medical science, which deals with the causes, prevention and treatment of problems related to lungs. Doctor of Medicine in Pulmonary Medicine is a fulltime three-year postgraduate degree course. During the course, the student learns about diagnostics and treatments, such as bronchodilator, inhalers etc. The candidates with a MBBS degree from a recognized institute, who have registered permanently with Medical Council of India or any other State Medical Councils, are eligible for this course.
The course curriculum will train the next generation of leaders in pulmonary and critical care medicine. After successful completion of the course, one can opt to work in a public medical institution or in a private hospital.
