PhD in Sciences offered by the Department of Chemistry
Research in the department of Chemistry is interdisciplinary as well as multidisciplinary. The faculty takes pain to do research in such a manner that is has societal benefits and is capable of being scaled up towards industrial applications. Several publications from the department has applications in connection with the day today life of humanity. The department is actively involved in research in all the emerging areas of chemistry. Department has produced 6 PhDs so far and currently 23 full time and 13 part time research scholars are working in the department in different areas of chemistry. Research in the department is not entirely of academic interest but links both industry as well as society with academia. The department not only produces high impact papers but has proved beneficial to the society through their outcomes.
