In recent time usage of electric vehicle by the consumer is increasing day by day. Inductive power transfer is the transfer of power between the input and output without any wired connection. With the wireless coupling coil the power can be transferred from primary to secondary for the charging of battery of an EV. In this work, comparative study of LCL-S and LCC-S topology is carried out. The T type topology is introduced to find out output and input impedance. Matlab simulations are carried out and the power transfer capability and efficiency calculations are compared and analyzed in both topologies. From the comparative study it is concluded that the LCL-S topology is best suited for higher efficiency and high output power as proved.
