In today’s fast paced business environments where e mployees are constantly striving to achieve business goals under time restr ictions; open mindedness and transparent work culture plays a vital role in employee retenti on. Thus, it could be rightly said that the factors that affect employee’s intent to turnover h ave received greater attention as a study field of late but the literature is not all in agre ement on the principal factors that influence a person’s decision to leave an organisation. This s tudy focuses on these issues of influences of organisation factors on employee decision to sta y or leave an organisation.This study aims to analyse the employees’ intention to stay or leave their job and influences of organisational factors on their decisions with spec ial references to surface transportation industry in Tamilnadu. The sample population of the study consists of 650 respondents in middle and low carders currently working in size surface transport companies operating in Tamilnadu.The current study is both explorative and descriptive i n nature. The study applied judgmental & conveniences sampling techniques for selection of t he sample. The empirical findings of the study support the hypothesis framed. It has bee n concluded that there exists causal relationship between employees’ perception about th eir organisation factors and their level of satisfaction derived towards the practices of or ganisation factors. The study suggested that the logistics and transport service providers should focus on these issues and should aim to improve in all the above weak area in order to retain its employees.
