Abstract:

Phrase identification using frequencies is employed in text mining studies. In this work, we propose that all phrases occur in a document are not equal as the semantic relevance between the phrases and text varies. We proposed to identify the relevance of phrases in natural language texts using phrase weights. The pilot study results are worth to investigate further. © 2013 IEEE.
