Abstract:

<p>The author proposes a system architecture for an Augmented Reality (AR) application “Ornament Dressing Room”. This paper describes a technique to identify the control points required for placing the jewellery virtually on the neck. The proposed system requires a user who is intend to give a trial to a jewellery, has to face a Kinect Sensor, and the system augments the jewellery over the user's neck. The proposed method makes use of both RGB as well as Depth stream available from Microsoft Kinect to identify the required control point. The system not only enhances the user experience but it will surely reduce the wear on and off time for every jewellery. © Research India Publications.</p>
