Abstract:

Electric vehicles are considered less practical because, huge batteries are required to provide the power for acceleration. High voltage can be obtained with the help of DC-DC boosters. A soft switched DC-DC converter with high efficiency is proposed in this paper. A theoretical analysis of a soft switched boost converter is carried out and its operating principles are presented and the same is verified through simulation results. © 2013 IEEE.
