Abstract:

Dye-sensitized solar cells are emerging as most promising cost effective, easy to fabricate without involving sophisticated lithographic technique being employed towards aking
conventional solar cells. DSSC works on a principle similar to photosynthesis. We have used some anthocyanine pigment of flowers for sensitization of nanocrystalline TiO2. It has been found that sensitizer substantially enhances the photoconductivity of the material and also broadens the photoaction spectrum towards lower photon energy.
