This project is about designing and building a multi sensor, wearable, low power, low cost device for monitoring multiple physiological parameters of the post hospitalized patients and aged populations especially in rural areas in the country. The proposed device will be able to measure the vital parameters continuously and transmit it to the hospital/doctors through a smart phone interface. The finality of the project is that this wearable device and the smart phone should be integrated to an existing Hospital Information System, thereby providing a comprehensive vital parameter monitoring for rural people in India.
As part of this project the students worked on preparing the deployment of the device. Then took part in data collection in rural areas. Finally they can helped in processing the data and interpreting it to derive the first conclusions.
