  • mySangham is an online portal and community that will bring skill based education and employment within reach of everyone. The portal enables anyone to upload multilingual content that would be accessible to all especially the mobile-first, cloud-first generation. mySangham applies crowdsourcing to empower individuals and to leverage technology to disseminate vocational education on a mass scale by creating a comprehensive ecosystem of the vocational skills training network by connecting a large online community of those searching for skills and those who can provide skills training.

  • In collaboration with the Medical Informatics Group, CDAC Trivandrum, the MEDSIM project will design and develop Computer based Medical Simulations that will allow students pursuing medical sciences to visualize, learn, practise and experience a variety of medical skills and procedures in order to provide a simulated patient experience.

  • Tabletop technologies can promote group learning and interaction using multi-touch and multi-user systems to support collaborative activities. Our research focus is on how tabletop technologies can facilitate students to work on group projects and allow students to explore various scientific and mathematical concepts.

  • The Online Labs is an educational initiative pioneered by AmritaCREATE, the Amrita Center for Research in Analytics, Technologies & Education at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in partnership with CDAC, Mumbai; under a research grant from the Department of Information Technology, Government of India.

  • NFES is a nationwide, web-based, searchable electronic repository that acquires, maintains, and provides information about the research and publications of the faculty of educational institutions under MHRD.

  • An initiative of the Ministry of Human Resources Department under the National Mission on Education through ICT, Amrita's Collaborative Accessibility Platform for Virtual Labs (Amrita CAP-VL) provides a framework for the development and deployment of distributed virtual labs that use diverse software and interfacing technology. It support the system architectures for remote equipment labs and addresses scheduling, networking, security and scalability.

  • The crucial role of hands on experiments in the STEM curriculum to motivate and deepen understanding is universally accepted. In India, many schools lack equipment in science labs and in rural areas there is a lack of teachers depriving students of STEM education.

  • A project under MHRD ERP, Amrita Display Information and Visualization Engine (Amrita DIVE) uses ROLAP technology to gather information from multiple LMS/CMS engines and then uses advanced visualization techniques to provide graphed information that allows educators to understand the pattern and usage of content used by Indian universities.

  • VALUE Virtual Chemistry laboratories introduce a new dimension to the chemistry lab. Virtual labs provide a number of benefits to both the student and teacher. Virtual experiments allow educational institutes to take advantage of vast savings from reduced consumption in chemical supplies and reduced costs that result from accidental breakages.

  • Amrita University is creating comprehensive Mechanical Engineering Virtual Labs in the following areas: Mechanics of Solids, Wind Energy, Solar Thermal Energy, and Energy Storage. Each lab consists of 8 to 10 experiments. All experiments have a common web platform where students can view experiments via a web interface happening in real-time with a web-cam.

  • Virtual Lab: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is transforming the face of higher education and research, through a revolutionary new educational tool – virtual labs. The VALUE Initiative is a project dedicated to developing these virtual labs in various science and engineering disciplines. Virtual labs are media-rich online learning environments, which allow users to conduct physical laboratory experiments in a computer-simulated environment. This innovative new educational technique is enabling experimentation beyond the boundaries of traditional laboratories

  • Virtual Physics Labs have sophisticated simulations that enable the users to conduct a vast array of physics experiments. Users can work with interactive electronic components to create electric circuits, conduct oscillatory experiments on different planets, or interact with specialized virtual equipment such as a Laser Beam Emitter. All this becomes available to the user simply with a computer and an internet connection.

  • A-VIEW (Amrita Virtual Interactive e-Learning World) is an award winning indigenously built multi-modal, multimedia e-learning platform that provides an immersive e-learning experience that is almost as good as a real classroom experience developed by Amrita e-Learning Research Lab.

  • Amrita Technologies has developed an integrated world-class University Management System (UMS) which includes an e-learning platform AMRITA VIDYA, a web based software for effective management of learning services. Amrita UMS develops and supports all the major university-wide administrative and learning management systems.

  • Amrita Vidyalayam eLearning Network (AVeN) was inaugurated on 4th Feb, 2008 by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, at Kochi. This network hosts multimedia educational content that allows sharing of training material and incorporates modules for student assignments. The adaptive assessment and learning programme adjusts automatically to a student’s learning level.

  • Amrita Language Labs helps students learn career skills, soft skills, language skills and pronunciation skills. Research studies are being conducted to assess the mother tongue influence (Malayalam) and provide online intervention, thereby improving both pronunciation and language skills in learners

  • Amrita has pioneered and developed the large-scale deployment of intelligent tutoring and adaptive assessment systems to allow students with diverse backgrounds in rural and city areas to benefit from individualised learning and to provide specific information to educators to allow for appropriate intervention.
