B. A. M. S. (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine & Surgery)

Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (B. A. M. S.) provides basic education in the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional ayurveda. It prepares students of profound scholarship in the science of Ayurveda having basic and fundamental knowledge in different subjects of Ayurveda backed up by extensive practical training.

The program enables a student to become an efficient teacher, a research scholar and a competent Ayurvedic physician and surgeon to be able to contribute his mite in the medical and health services. 

M. S. in Prasuti Tantra & Streeroga

The M. S. in Prasuti Tantra & Streeroga provides training in Ayurvedic Gynecology, Obstetrics and Pediatrics. Prasuti tantra deals with pregnancy, labour and puerperium and Streeroga deals with management of diseases manifesting specially in women. The program offers theoretical and practical knowledge in Gynecology and Obstetrics, management of antenatal and postnatal care, common gynecological problems and menopausal syndrome to utilize the techniques of female health care and to achieve a healthy baby.

M. S. in Shalakya Tantra (Netra Roga Vigyana)

The M. S. in Shalakya Tantra (Netra Roga Vigyana), is a Shalakya Tantra discipline in the Ayurveda deal with integration of knowledge of Ayurveda and resent medical researches in the field of ophthalmology. Special training is given on management of certain eye diseases. The program prepares to manage many diseases that affect the eye like diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macular degeneration and cataract.

The aim of the course is to produce experts and specialist who can be competent and efficient teachers, physicians, surgeons in the field of ophthalmology.

M. S. in Shalya Tantra (Samanya)

The M. S. in Shalya Tantra (Samanya) provides students an in-depth understanding of the principles of modern surgery. The department has made substantial contributions in the fields of Ano-Rectal Diseases, Wound Management, Urinary Disorders and Fracture Healing. The course includes study of ancient surgical procedures described in treatises, clinical and surgical applications of various treatment modalities, successful treatment for piles and fistula as per Ayurvedic methodology, treatment of chronic diseases with blood-letting through leeches and practical training of surgical procedures on patients at well equipped operation theatre and procedure room. It is a significant research branch of Ayurveda.

M. D. in Panchakarma

Doctor of Medicine in Panchakarma is a Clinical course. Panchakarma literally means five methods of body purification. The course deals with Purification therapies of Ayurveda and provides a basic understanding of the principles of Shodhana (Bio-Purifaction methods). The course provides methods to prevent diseases and to improve the immunity and to treat a number of diseases. 

The course prepares student to be  a research scholar, an efficient teacher, an Ayurvedic physician and a surgeon to contribute his/ her services to the medical and health sciences. 

M. D. in Kayachikitsa

Doctor of Medicine in Kayachikitsa is a Clinical Course. The course imparts training in the division of General Medicine in Ayurveda. Kayachikitsa, representing the school of medicine forms the basis for all other branches of Ayurvedic treatment and hence this lays the foundation for shaping a skilled Ayurvedic physician. 

The program will equip the scholar to design a treatment protocol comprising of a range of internal and external medications as well as specialized therapies according to the nature of the disease and the patient.

M. D. in Swasthavritta

Doctor of Medicine in Swasthavritta (Social and Preventative Medicine) is a Non - Clinical course. The program provides training on the principles and practice of Social and Preventive Medicine at both the personal and communal levels. Social and Preventative Medicine in School of Ayurveda gives elaborate guidelines and regimens for maintaining and promoting health of the individual and the community integrating modern concepts with principles of Ayurveda.

The program also offers principles of Yoga and Naturopathy.

M. D. in Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana

Doctor of Medicine in Rasashastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana (Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacy) is Non - Clinical course. Keeping with tradition, the course prepares students to an Ayurvedic physician who is capable of formulating and preparing medicines according to the specific needs of a patient. The program provides training in medicinal chemistry and preparation of highly potent medicines from minerals and metals.

The course also deals with the principles and practice of Ayurvedic Pharmacy with its varied pharmaceutical methods and dosage forms. 

M. D. in Dravyaguna Vigyana

Doctor of  Medicine in Dravyaguna Vigyan  (Ayurvedic Pharmacology) is a Non- Clinical Course. It provides the principles of Ayurvedic pharmacognosy and pharmacology with a special focus on identification of controversial drugs, adulterants and substitutes used in Ayurvedic practice. Dravyaguna deals knowledge of nomenclature (namajnana), pharmacognosy (rupajnana), pharmacology (gunajnana) and pharmacotherapeutics (yuktijnana). 

The course prepares student to be  a research scholar, an efficient teacher, an Ayurvedic physician and a surgeon to contribute his/ her services to the medical and health sciences. 

M. D. in Ayurveda Samhita

The M. D. in Ayurveda Samhita is a Non - Clinical course provides research training in the study of classical texts of Ayurveda, their scientific exploration and validation. The aim of the course is to provide orientation of specialties and super specialties of Ayurveda and to produce experts and specialist who can be competent and efficient teachers, physicians, surgeons in various field of Ayurveda.
