Andhra Pradesh CM Laid the Foundation Stone of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Amaravati Campus

Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the Honourable Chief Minister (CM) of Andhra Pradesh and Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, President of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, jointly laid the foundation stone of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati campus, on February 7, 2018. 

Amrita School of Ayurveda Receives Indo-Italian Cooperation Research Grant

Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and University of Milan has jointly received funding from Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and Ministero Degli Affari Esterie Della Cooperazione Internazionale, Italy (Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Italy) for researcher exchange program for a duration of three years from 2017- 2019.

The Graduation Ceremony of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, was celebrated on 10th September, 2017, at Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Mr. M. Rajeevan, Secretary, Ministry of Health Sciences and Mr. G. Satheesh Reddy, Scientific Advisor to the Defence Minister, were the Chief Guests of the event.

Amrita School of Ayurveda Represented at National Cancer Institute, USA

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham faculty member, Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Research Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amrita School of Ayurveda, was invited to deliver a talk titled, “From Bench to Bedside: Research on Cancer in Ayurveda at Amrita University”, on May 23, 2017, at the National Cancer Institute, Shady Grove, Bethesda, Maryland, USA.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham faculty member, Dr. P. Ram Manohar, Director, Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda (ACARA), attended the Second International Conference on Integrative Medicine: Role of Yoga and Ayurveda on the theme “Role of Yoga and Ayurveda in Pain and Addiction Management”.

SPIC MACAY at Amrita School of Ayurveda

As a part of the Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC MACAY), Dr. Kalamandalam Rachita Ravi performed at the Amrita School of Ayurveda, Amritapuri, on 15th June 2017, from 6 pm to 8 pm.SPIC MACAY, a nationwide voluntary movement, organises programmes of classical music and dance, folk arts, crafts, yoga, classic cinema screenings, heritage walks, etc., at schools and colleges, throughout the world, so as to make the students aware about Indian and World Heritage.
