A cancer labelling fluorescent probe was designed by Dr. Sankarprasad Bhuniya, Research Professor at Amrita Center for Industrial Research & Innovation and Amrita Center for Excellence in Advanced Materials and Green Technologies, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, along with Nithya Velusamy and Kondapa Naidu Bobba, Dr. Nandita Mishra, Assistant Professor, Amrita School of Biotechnology and PhD students Divya Nedungadi and Anupama Binoy.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Studies Brain Activities Before and After Performing Amrita Yoga

Under the guidance of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Chancellor, Sri. Mata Amritanandamayi Devi, Amrita Yoga Amritapuri and Amrita School of Biotechnology's Computational Neuroscience Laboratory are working on brain activities before and after yoga practice, using EEG and functional modeling on short and long term practitioners.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Virtual Labs Study Showcased on CSI Communications Magazine

Interdisciplinary and multi-disciplinary studies are key to many success stories of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's research projects. Ministry of HRD's National Mission in Education through Internet and Communication Technologies (NMEICT) had funded a massive project on building Virtual Laboratories for students who did not have access to laboratory education and skill training. 

Amrita School of Biotechnology Celebrated AmritaKalotsavam 2017

Amritakalotsavam 2017 was celebrated at the School of Biotechnology on April 3 - 4, 2017, showcasing the artistic talents of the students. The festivities were inaugurated by Dr. Bipin Nair, Dean, followed by a lamp lighting and concluded with Ranga pooja to set the joyous spirit for the occasion.
