GUEST LECTURE ON INTEGRATED PROTOCOL FOR DERMATOLOGY

Amrita School of Ayurveda organized a guest lecture on the topic "Integrated Protocol for Dermatology" on  March 22, 2016 from 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm. Dr. Guruprasad Aggithaya, Chief Ayurvedic Consultant, Institute of Applied Dermatology ,Kasargod was the resource person. The points discussed were Integration using modern diagnostic & assessments, Integration using ayurveda Treatment Modalities & Yoga, How individuality of each science is retained while integration and Outcome measures with photographs were shown for various conditions like vitiligo, Lymphedema etc. Dr. Ananth Ram Sharma and PG Scholars from the department of Panchakarma attended the program. 

GUEST LECTURE ON SEARCH STRATEGY FOR LITERATURE IN INTERNET

Amrita School of Ayurveda organized a guest lecture on the topic "Search Strategy for literature in Internet" on March 22, 2016 from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm. Dr. Guruprasad Aggithaya, Chief Ayurvedic Consultant, Institute of Applied Dermatology ,Kasargod, was the resource person. The points discussed were Strategy to be adopted for search, how to for search key words and introduction to Oubmed & other Data bases. Dr. Ananth Ram Sharma and PG Scholars from the departments of Panchakarma, Kayachikitsa and Shalya Tantra attended the program. 

GUEST LECTURE ON FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION

Dr. Rakesh, M.D., (Community Medicine), Technical Consultant ,TB Control, Government of Kerala, conducted a  guest lecture on the topic "Focus Group Discussion " on March 14, 2016 from 10.00am to 1.30pm. The topics discussed were How to conduct a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and conducted a Moc FGD. Facutly members Dr. Ananth Ram Sharma, Dr. Prathibha C. K., Dr. K. Parameswaran Namboothiri and PG Scholars from the department of Panchakarma and Kayachikitsa attended.

NAIPUNYAM 2013 - WORKSHOP ON CLINICAL DIAGNOSIS

A three day program, Naipunyam 2013- Workshop on Clinical Diagnosis, for the 2006 batch internees was organizd as a part of their Graduation Day celebrations. It was an attempt to give the best part of Clinical Skills which is a necessary requirement for any Physician before entering to the clinical practice.

First day, Dr. Gopakumar, Assistant Professor Govt. Ayurveda college, Kannur, gave a brief lecture on Functional Anatomy of CNS. He explained several modern pathologies in relation to the system with its Ayurvedic correlations. There was a demonstration session on the clinical examination.
