Nobel laureate Muhammed Yunus inaugurated the International Conference on Technology Enhanced Education organised by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at Amritapuri. The theme of the conference is 'Educational technology for social benefit.'
Noted Bangladeshi Economist, Founder of the Grameen Bank program and Nobel Laureate Muhammed Yunus has said that technology should be used for solving socio-economic problems rather than for commercial exploitation. He was inaugurating the IEEE International Conference on Technology Enhanced Education organised by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at Amritapuri.
For the first time in India, an all-women batch of students have graduated from a Computerised Plumbing Course conducted bythe varsityas per the government approved modular employable skills (MES) syllabus.
“Technology should be leveraged to finding solution to various problems faced by people,” said Prof. Mohammed Yunus, Nobel Laureate and Founder of Grameen Bank, at IEEE International Conference on Technology Enhanced Education (ICTEE 2012) organized by Amrita University from January 3 to 5 held at Amritapuri campus.
Amrita's first batch of plumbing students seated with Mr. Dilip Chenoy CEO of NSDC (National Skill Development Corporation), and Prof. Bhavani B. of AMMACHI Labs.
