BTech Students from ASE, Coimbatore Win Awards for their Innovation Product- Vegetable Chiller for Rural Farmers

The innovator Vishnu Padmanaban and his team member M. Ramesh Nachiappan, final-year students of BTech (Mechanical Engineering) of 2010-2014 batch at the Coimbatore campus received awards for their innovative product, “Cost Effective Vegetable Chiller for Rural Small Farmers.”

Vishnu Padmanaban of Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, was selected to represent the national member society, SAE India, for the FISITA Travelling Fellowship Award. He also presented a paper at the FISITA Student Congress 2014 held from 2-6 June 2014, in MECC Maastricht Conference Venue, the Netherlands. Vishnu Padmanabanis a final year Mechanical Engineering student of 2010-2014 batch.

Two Week ISTE Workshop on Control Systems

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Amrita School of Engineering, Bengaluru and IIT Kharagpur organized a two-week ISTEWorkshop on Control Systems, as part of the MHRD program, National Mission on Education through ICT (NMEICT) from December 2-12, 2014.

Amrita-Robert Bosch Automotive Electronics Laboratory Inaugurated

The Amrita- Robert Bosch Automotive Electronics Laboratory Lab was inaugurated and established at the Coimbatore campus of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on November 20, 2014. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham and Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for collaboration in various areas of mutual interest including research.

Cybersecurity Launches Amrita Internet of Things and Amrita Big Data Framework - An End to End Solution for Internet of Things

Two new applications, AIoTm and ABDF, were launched by the Center for Cyber Security Systems and Networks on the occasion of Amritavarsham61, Chancellor Mata Amritanandamayi Devi’s 61st birthday celebrations, held on the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Amritapuri campus on the 27th of September, 2014.  K.C Venugopal, Member of Lok Sabha, Alappuzha, launched the devices by opening them on a tablet computer.
