Southern Naval Command Inks MoU with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

The Southern Naval Command (SNC), the training command of the Indian Navy, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, on December 19, 2018, to enable academic and research collaboration. The MoU was signed between Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command (SNC) and P Venkat Rangan, Vice Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.

The MoU would encompass mechanical engineering, electronics and communication, computer science and other areas of mutual interest such as bio science, medical and cyber security.

Amrita Collaborates with Navy for Academic, Research Cooperation

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Southern Naval Command Headquarters and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for academic and research collaboration. The MoU was signed between Vice Admiral Anil Kumar Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command (SNC) and P. Venkat Rangan, Vice Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a Defence release said here. The MoU, signed in the university's campus at Coimbatore, would encompass fields of mechanical engineering, electronics and communication, computer science and other areas of mutual interest such as bio science, medical and cyber security, the release said.

Navy to Sign MoU with Amrita to Enable Academic & Research Collaboration

Vice Admiral A. K. Chawla, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SNC, and P. Venkat Rangan, Vice-Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, will sign the MoU at a function at the university campus in Coimbatore. 

B.Tech 2019 Admissions Open at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s School of Engineering has announced admissions open to its various B. Tech degree courses. Students can apply for online entrance examination to be held from April 22 to 26, 2019. Simultaneously, written examinations will be held at 27 centres across Tamil Nadu. However, only students of Tamil Nadu will be eligible to take the written examination. To apply online, students can log on to www.amrita.edu/btech. Specific dates, centres and time for counselling, to be held in May 2019, will be intimated to successful students by email. Details of successful candidates and counselling dates will also be published on the university’s website.
