With the COVID-19 cases increasing in Ernakulam, Kerala, Health Department of Kerala started taking measures to introduce third phase. As a part of the plan, they have started a COVID treatment facility at the AIMS Community Hall at Njarackal. The infrastructure and manpower required for operating the facility are being provided by Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi.

Following the ban of the 59 Chinese apps by the Government of India, Ashwin Shenoy (Second-year student of the Department of Computer Science Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, Kerala) has developed an application named "BayJDO" on a mission to save all those who were mourning over the ban of Xender and SHAREit.
The students and researchers at the Humanitarian Technology (HuT) Labs of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, were selected for the finals of the Cisco Global Problem Solver Challenge 2020 under Global Category and India Impact Category, the two categories under which the challenge is held.

The Webinar was moderated by Rupinder Brar, ADG, Ministry of Tourism and the other presenters were Dr. Sandeep Bhalla, Director of Public Health Foundation of India; and Dr. Paridhi Mody, Program Officer of Public Health Foundation of India. They briefed the participants all about traveling safely and responsibly during COVID-19.
