Amrita Students Develop an Early Forest Fire Detection System "Agni Kavaj"

A group of final-year B.Tech. students at the School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, have developed “ Agni Kavaj”, a forest fire early detection system using UAV and Advance Computation Technology to detect fire and alert officials as early as possible.

International Workshop on ‘Vedic Recitation and Practices’ Concludes at Amrita Mysuru

The three-day international virtual workshop on “The Ideology Inherent in the Tradition of Vedic Recitation and Practices-An exposure” jointly organized by Amrita Darshanam-International Centre for Spiritual Studies, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysuru Campus, and South Zone Cultural Centre, Thanjavur (Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India) concluded on February 27, 2021, at Amrita premises in Bogadi, Mysuru.

The Women’s Cell in association with the Department of Visual Communication, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, observed the International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021, with the theme “Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World,” to celebrate the tremendous efforts by women and girls around the world in shaping a more equal future and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the gaps that remain.
