Amrita's Amaravati Campus to Open on July 2018

The foundation stone for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham’s 200-acre campus at Amaravati, was laid by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Sri. N Chandrababu Naidu on 7th February 2018. Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, President, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on this occassion said, “Amma says education should enrich students both internally and externally. Collecting information from the world, books, and instructors is only a part of it. For real education to happen, the student’s heart must open up. This cannot be gained by merely increasing one’s intellectual capacity. Nurturing this is the ultimate goal of Amrita.”

Foundation Stone to be laid for Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's New Campus

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to lay foundation stone for its new Amaravati campus on February 7th 2017. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay foundation stone. The State government allocated 150 acres of land in the capital region to Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The varsity is constructing buildings for engineering and management courses in the first phase at a cost of `150 crore. The classes are likely to start in August. A medical college and a superspecialty hospital will come up in the second phase.
