Amrita TBI Invests $120K in Four Startups

Four startups have won seed funding worth a total of $120,000 (Rs.80 lakh) from the Amrita Technology Business Incubator (TBI), supported by the central government and Amrita University. The startups Preksh Innovations (e-commerce), B2BSphere (e-commerce), Meladath Auto Components and MaaxMarket (social media marketing), were shortlisted out of 702 startups from all over India through the incubator’s annual PitchFest event, organized in partnership with the central government, NASSCOM 10K (Nasscom India’s initiative for startups), Asia’s largest network of angel investors Indian Angel Network and job portal FreshersWorld.

The Amrita Technology Business Incubator (TBI) has committed a total of $120,000 in seed funding for four promising start-ups. These were shortlisted out of 702 startups from all over India at the PitchFest organized from January 9-10, 2016, at the Bengaluru campus of Amrita University. The winning startups are Preksh Innovations(ecommerce), B2BSphere (ecommerce), Meladath Auto Components and MaaxMarket (social media marketing).
