Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Technology Business Incubator(TBI) is organising the 2017 edition of PitchFest at Bengaluru Campus. It will provide a platform to start-ups to showcase their ideas. "If you are a great innovative idea or product and are looking for funding, then Amrita TBI PitchFest is the perfect platform to show case it to potential investors", said Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, CEO, Technology Business Incubators, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham.
"It is important to build the right kind of partners and networks that can help a startup during its initial phase of market validation, customer development and product development," according to Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, Chief Executive Officer, Amrita Technology Business Incubator (TBI) in an excusive interview with The New Indian Express. Amrita TBI, which was set up in 2008 as a joint initiative by Amrita University and the Central Department of Science and Technology, operates from Kollam (Kerala),Bengaluru and Coimbatore. “We have incubated 45 startups and mentored over 181 startup ideas. More than 6,700 students are trained on entrepreneurship and innovation through the incubator,” she said.
Dr. Dietmar Jennewein, a professor in the Department of Mechanical and Plastics Engineering, University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt, Germany visited the Amritapuri and Coimbatore campuses in early 2016.
With three incubation centers at Kollam, Bengaluru, and Coimbatore, Amrita Technology Business Incubator (AmritaTBI) is in a rapid growth phase. Established in 2008, Amrita TBI of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, has incubated 41 start-ups and mentored 181 start-ups ideas.
