1373 Graduating Students Placed

As of May 2010, one thousand three hundred and seventy-three graduating students from the three Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore were placed in different engineering and software companies.

The Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, a deemed-to-be university with campuses in Bangalore, Coimbatore, Kollam (at Amritapuri), Ernakulam and Mysore, has been placed in the highest “A” category by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council. The institution offers more than 120 courses ranging from engineering and medicine to arts and science programs. P. Venkat Rangan, its Vice-Chancellor, said the institution, was collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in an e-learning project awarded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development to the two institutions.

Placement Season at Amrita

Over 1000 final-year engineering and MCA students from three Amrita campuses came together this month at the Coimbatore Campus for placement. Two eventful weeks saw a total number of 874 students secure placement with top companies.
