Seminar on Precast Prestressed Concrete at Amrita

The Department of Civil Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, in association with Amrita Centre for Research and Development and Indian Concrete Institute (Coimbatore Chapter), organized an International Seminar on Precast Prestressed Concrete for Infrastructure Applications from December 20-21, 2018. The conference saw the participation of over 300 delegates and of the 862 paper submissions received, 233 papers were selected.

Clearing of Forest for Plantations-A Dangerous Trend, says Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Faculty

Ramkrishnan Ramabhadran, the assistant professor at the department of Civil Engineering,  Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, who conducted the IISC study along the senior scientist, T V Ramachandra, raises his concern for the eroding forest cover, through The Times of India. He considers the forest cleared for plantation as a dangerous trend. A sensible afforestation is the only possible solution to overcome this situation.
