Amrita School of Business the Only Indian Institution in UN’s Sulitest 2019 Report

The School of Business, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has earned the distinction of the only Indian institution to find a place in the prestigious United Nations Sustainable Literacy Test (Sulitest) which evaluates knowledge about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) among students in higher education.

Amrita School of Business has figured prominently in the annual report released by the UN on the basis of the number of tests taken per academic organisation, according to Chairman Dr. Raghu Raman, who represented it at this annual event at the UN.

Amrita Faculty on Fulbright-Nehru Specialist Program Review Panel

Prashant R. Nair, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus, has been appointed to the review panel of the prestigious Fulbright-Nehru Specialist Program in the area of Computer Science and Information Technology by US-India Educational Foundation (USIEF).

Amrita to Conduct National Science Olympiad (NSO) and Young Scientist Conclave

The second edition of the National Science Olympiad (NSO) and Young Scientist Conclave will be held at the Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore from October 30-31, 2019. The Theme for this edition is “Smart City: Sustainable Solutions for a Self-Sustaining Future”. The topics include Smart Waste Management, Smart Water Management, Renewable Energy, Disaster Prevention & Warning Systems, Smart Farming & Agriculture, Smart Pollution Management, Smart Health Care, Artificial Intelligence for Common Man, Robotics for societal benefit and integrated multi modal transport system. In a nutshell the topics cater to issues related to water, electricity, agriculture, pollution, health etc.
