44th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (FMFP – 2017) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus

The National Society of Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (NSFMFP), in collaboration with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, organized the 44th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (FMFP – 2017) at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus, Kollam, Kerala, from December 14-16, 2017.

The 44th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power (FMFP 2017) jointly organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and National Society of Fluid Mechanics & Fluid Power (NSFMFP) of IIT Mumbai, was inaugurated by Mata Amritananthamayi Math General Secretary Swamy Poornamritantha Puri on December 14, 2017. He said that the humanity should carry out its duties without any self-interest and also introspect and get impetus to lead a purposeful and resourceful life. 

R. B. Grover, Atomic Energy Department Director, Homi Bhabha National Institute, was the chief guest for the event. Mastering communication skill along with the technical skill would bring out the intrinsic value in education and make the students employable, he said in his address.

Amrita Samyogam 2017 provided an integrative approach to cancer management through the integration of Ayurveda and Allopathy. The US follows an integrative approach to cancer treatment using elements from Indian tradition and culture. The integration of mind-body, physical and social has helped cancer patients in their healing process. "Amrita Samyogam 2017" witnessed the integration of Ayurveda and modern medicine, organised by the School of Ayurveda, Amrita University, in association with Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences. More than 60 experts in integrative medicine from six countries attended the meet.
