Amrita Samyogam Ensures National Policy to Integrate Ayurveda with Allopathy

The experts who had assembled at India’s biggest conference on integrative Ayurveda and modern medicine at Kochi’s Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences said that The Government needs to formulate a national policy on the integration of Ayurveda with allopathy so that India can take its rightful place as the global leader in integrative medicine. The two-day event called Amrita Samyogam, in which more than 60 experts and 1,000 delegates from around the world participated, was held in collaboration with Amrita University’s School of Ayurveda. It was inaugurated by Dr. Rajesh Kotecha, Special Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham to Receive Support from Central Government to Build Integrative Medicine

The Amrita Samyogam 2017, the International Conference on Integrative Ayurveda and Modern Medicine, scheduled on August 6th and 7th, brought together allopathic doctors ayurveda practitioners and modern scientists on a common platform to identify strategies for integrating ayurveda with allopathy in the management of cancer, auto-immune diseases like arthritis and diabetes, neuro-degenerative diseases and mental health. The event has urged has urged the Central Government to form a national policy on the integration of ayurveda and allopathy.

Amrita Samyogam 2017, an International Conference on Integrative Ayurveda and Modern Medicine was held at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, on August 6-7. 2017. The conference was attended by more than 1000 delegates representing Ayurveda, Modern Medicine and Modern Science.
