Amrita Doctors Perform Complex Bronchoscopic Procedure for a 24-Year-Old Student

The Doctors of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, performed innovative rigid Bronchoscopic procedures on a 24-year-old, resident of Maldives to correct his serious breathing issues. The Interventional Pulmonology team was led by Dr. Tinku Joseph, Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist, AIMS.

Faculty Completes Fellowship in Oral Health Informatics (OHI) and Residency in Dental Public Health

Dr. Chandrashekar Janakiram, Professor and Head of the Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dentistry, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi, successfully completed a fellowship in Oral Health Informatics (OHI) and a residency in Dental Public Health from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR) and the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health, USA. 

Amrita Faculty Chief Guest at FMCON's Workshop on ‘A Step Ahead in Research’

Dr. Sunil Moothedath, Professor and Head of the Department of Child Health Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi, was the chief guest at the workshop on ‘A Step Ahead in Research’ and General Body Meet, conducted by the Alumni Association of the Father Muller College of Nursing (FMCON), on July 20, 2019. Dr. Sunil while addressing the gathering said that the alumni are the brand ambassadors of an institution and is proud of his alma-mater alumni for its efforts in growing in strength and commitment. “I feel a sense of pride to say that I am a part of the Father Muller Family. Family is the place where we get a basic foundation. People judge us by the family we come from, hence I feel proud to be a member of this family because people all over the world have high regards of this great institution,” he said. He concluded that the workshop in research was the need of the hour with medicine asking for evidence based research.
