World Cancer Day at the Health Sciences campus saw a series of colourful yet momentous events that were organized by the Department of Oncology of the Amrita School of Medicine.
 

Amrita Meditation Technique Helps Reduce Stress

The practitioners of the Integrated Amrita Meditation technique experienced a reduction in the stress hormone adrenaline within 48 hours of beginning the practice, according to a study published in this year's volume of the International Journal of 'Evidencebased Complimentary and Alternative Medicine'(eCAM), published by the Hindawi Publishing Corporation.

Amrita Centre for Nanotechnology Develops Low Cost Nanomaterial based Dye-Sensitised Solar Cells with Lab Efficiency of 9.5%

Researchers from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham -Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at the Bengaluru campus had begun work on a DST-funded project supervised by Dr. Manjula G. Nair to study ways in which to improve the power quality of wind-generated electricity. The project involves the design and development of a laboratory prototype model of a digitally-controlled three-phase hybrid filtering system.

Amrita Meditation Technique Lowers Stress Hormones, Says Study

A new meditation technique developed by the Mata AmritanandamayiMatt lowers stress hormones, according to a study recently published in the international journal, Evidence-based Complementary  & Alternative Medicine. According to the study, practitioners of IAM (Integrated Amrita Meditation) experience a reduction in stress hormone Adrenaline with 48 hrs of beginning the practice.
