Amrita Mechanical Engineering Students Win Prizes at Robotsavam 2017

The students of Amrita won prizes for coming up with astonishing solutions, including national security problems, during Robotsavam 2017 - India's first ever International level tech fest exclusively for Robotics. Robotsavam 2017, organised by the IEEE Student Branch of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham's Amritapuri campus, was held at the campus on July 28-30, 2017.

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri, conducted "Robotsavam 2017", an international level tech fest, on 28th, 29th and 30th July, 2017. More than 1500 students from various states participated in the event. "We are happy that we were able to provide a platform for the robotic enthusiastic students all over India to get themselves trained, compete and exhibit their skills in Robotics and Automation through Robotsavam 2017", said Rajesh Kannan, Assistant Professor, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Amritapuri.

As a part of the "Robotsavam 2017" conducted by the Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, the students exhibited their creations. As a part of it was "Dhruv", which is used in rescue missions caused by chemical leakages, fire accidents as well as natural calamities. It is actually used in places which are more prone to natural disasters. It can detect weather the condition is suitable for the rescue operation and also assists the rescue people in removing debris and checking dead bodies under debris.
