The objective of the Amrita elitrecy & awarness is to spread computer literacy and health awarness among the ST people, who are generally unable to avail themselves of the benefits of eliteracy. The training is through tablet computers and includes Awarness in Computer Concepts(ACC) and Health Awarness.

Virtual Lab: Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is transforming the face of higher education and research, through a revolutionary new educational tool – virtual labs. The VALUE Initiative is a project dedicated to developing these virtual labs in various science and engineering disciplines. Virtual labs are media-rich online learning environments, which allow users to conduct physical laboratory experiments in a computer-simulated environment. This innovative new educational technique is enabling experimentation beyond the boundaries of traditional laboratories
In collaboration with the Medical Informatics Group, CDAC Trivandrum, the MEDSIM project will design and develop Computer based Medical Simulations that will allow students pursuing medical sciences to visualize, learn, practise and experience a variety of medical skills and procedures in order to provide a simulated patient experience.
The Online Labs is an educational initiative pioneered by Amrita CREATE, the Center for Research in Advanced Technologies for Education at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in partnership with CDAC, Mumbai; under a research grant from the Department of Information Technology, Government of India.
