Surgery to Repair Tear in Largest Artery at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences

After being referred post-haste from hospitals across the state including Palakkad, Perinthalmanna and Kochi, four patients have successfully undergone surgery for the repair of Type A aortic dissection at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences within a span of just 10 days (January 03 - 12, 2019).

SIEMENS- GAPIO Innovation Award in Medicine for India's First Hand Transplant

On 28th December 2018, Dr. Subramania Iyer, Chairman and Professor, Plastic Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, was awarded the prestigious SIEMENS- GAPIO (Global Association of Physicians of Indian Origin) Innovation Award in Medicine for performing ‘Hand Transplant Surgery’ for the first time in India.

Reconstructive Surgeons Honoured by National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organization
