The M. D. S. in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a three year Postgraduate program. Oral and maxillofacial surgery is one of the specialties of dentistry to treat many diseases, injuries and defects in the head, neck, face, jaws and the hard and soft tissues of the oral (mouth) and maxillofacial (jaws and face) region.
The objective of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery program is to prepare graduates for a successful and productive career in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. The curriculum is designed to develop the clinical, academic, and communicative skills that will provide for diversified career options. A unique feature of this program is graduates will be prepared to pursue contemporary full scope Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery practice.
Duration of the Course : Three years from the date of commencement of classes.

Qualification: Candidates must have BDS degree recognised by the Dental Council of India, New Delhi.
Eligibility Criteria: NEET MDS – 2026 qualified candidates who have been allotted to Amrita School of Dentistry by the MCC, New Delhi are eligible to report for admissions for the academic year 2026-27.
