The PhD in Law and Allied Sciences at the School of Law is designed to nurture scholars who seek to contribute to the advancement of legal knowledge through rigorous, innovative, and socially relevant research. In an era of rapid technological, economic, and societal transformation, law is continuously evolving, creating a growing need for interdisciplinary and policy-oriented legal scholarship.
Drawing inspiration from leading national and international law schools, the programme promotes a multidisciplinary approach by encouraging collaboration between law and allied disciplines such as public policy, technology, human rights, global governance, diplomacy and the social sciences. Doctoral scholars will engage with contemporary legal challenges while producing research that informs legislation, strengthens institutions, and contributes to public discourse.
The programme offers opportunities for advanced research in Legal Theory, Constitutional Law, International Law, and Commercial Law, enabling scholars to examine complex legal issues from both doctrinal and interdisciplinary perspectives.
