A Glipms of Our Program

The LL.M. programme is a two-year postgraduate programme offering advanced and specialised legal education, with a focus on strengthening conceptual understanding, legal research capabilities, critical analysis and professional competence. The programme is designed to equip graduates with the knowledge and skills required to engage critically with contemporary legal issues through doctrinal, interdisciplinary and research-oriented approaches.

The programme enables students to deepen their understanding of established areas of law while engaging with emerging developments in legal scholarship, professional practice, public policy and governance. It promotes analytical thinking, independent legal research, academic writing and the application of legal principles to contemporary legal and socio-economic issues.

Admission

Master of Laws (LL. M.)

Eligibility

  • Candidates who have successfully completed an LL.B. degree or an equivalent qualification recognised by the University, with a minimum of 45% marks in the qualifying LL.B. examination, are eligible to apply for admission to the programme.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories shall be eligible in accordance with the applicable Government norms.
  • Existing employees of the University are exempted from the minimum marks requirement and the applicable eligibility criteria, subject to the relevant University rules and regulations.

Fee Details

  • Programme Fee: ₹60,000/- per year.
  • Hostel Accommodation: Both AC and Non-AC hostel accommodation are available, subject to applicable hostel rules, availability and University-prescribed charges.
  • Any applicable additional fees, examination fees, hostel and mess charges, or other charges shall be payable separately in accordance with the charges prescribed by the University from time to time.

Admission / Selection Procedure

  • Admission to the LL.M. programme is based on merit in the qualifying examination, subject to the applicable University regulations, sanctioned intake and other prescribed admission requirements.
